Contributions

The community decides what gets in.

Every submission lands here before an editor touches it. Vote it up if it is right, vote it down if it is not, and say why in the comments. Editors read the ranking when they review.

How ranking works

Votes guide editors. They do not replace them.

Who can vote?
Anyone with an account, once per contribution. You can change or withdraw your vote at any time. Reading and browsing need no account.
What does a high score do?
Editors review the top of the list first and treat a strong score as evidence from speakers. A contribution still has to be checked against the source dictionary before it is published.
What are comments for?
Saying why: a different tone mark, another sense of the word, which town says it this way. Short and specific beats long.
What happens to rejected submissions?
They leave this list and stay visible only to the contributor and the editors, with the reason.
