Kịrịkẹnị has no paid roles yet. It grows because speakers, writers, teachers and builders give their time. If you would like to be one of them, there is a place for you.

Six ways to help.
Language editor
Review submitted words and corrections against Levi Sika’s dictionary, and help settle the entries flagged for review.
You’ll need: Fluent Kịrịkẹ; patience with tone marks and dotted letters (we will show you how).
Voice recorder
Record headwords in your own voice so every entry can be heard, not just read. Elders’ voices are especially welcome.
You’ll need: A phone or laptop, a quiet room, and Kịrịkẹ as you speak it.
Cultural writer
Write short notes on festivals, masquerades, fishing life, food and names, and example sentences that show words in use.
You’ll need: Knowledge of Okrika custom and a clear way with words in English.
Field volunteer
Sit with elders in Okrika, Ogu, Bolo, Ogoloma and the other towns to capture words and recordings before they are lost.
You’ll need: Time in or near Okrika, and the trust of the people you visit.
Teacher or organiser
Use the learning packs and quiz with a class, a church group or a family, and help run community recording days.
You’ll need: A group to work with and a little time to plan.
Developer or designer
Help build the site and the planned mobile apps, from search and offline use to typing Kịrịkẹ on a phone.
You’ll need: Experience with Next.js, Supabase, React Native or interface design.
