The dictionary is missing your words.
The 1995 dictionary wrote down 5,067 entries. “Three” is not one of them. Neither are most of the sayings, the newer words or the sound of anyone’s voice. That is what you are here for.

Four rules the editors follow.
Follow them and your submission goes through on the first pass.
- Write it the way it sounds
- Use the dotted letters ẹ ị ọ ụ ḅ ḍ and mark every tone. The insert keys are there for this.
- One meaning per entry
- If a word has two senses, submit it twice. The dictionary numbers senses.
- Short, plain English
- Gloss like a dictionary, not an essay: “to sell”, “flowing gown”. Put the story in a cultural note.
- Say where it is said
- Ogu, Bolo, Ibaka and Ogoloma differ in places. Note the town if a word is local to it.
